Executive Coaching

Benefits

Coaching in business is a growing pursuit. For a reason. It forms part of a leadership development strategy. Coaching facilitates the conversations between the leader and the organization necessary for effective functioning and enhanced performance, required by so many businesses today. The benefits are many but more researched, (C Turner, Ivey Business Journal), they include:

one-on-one attention; expanded thinking through dialogue with a curious outsider; self -awareness, including blind spots; personal accountability for development; and, just-in-time learning, a critical component of dealing with change.

Group coaching on the other hand, facilitates team-work, enhances citizenship behaviours and allows the identification of team challenges. It builds trust and enables difficult conversations to take place. Another requirement of managing change.

Incisive questioning is at the heart of both practices. In a coaching environment, whether individual or collective, a space is held for questions to be asked, for conversations to take place out loud, for thinking and reflection to be respected and for new ideas to emerge from the tacit knowledge that may already exist.

Experience and Philosophy

Adelle has been coaching executives for over 12 years, with approximately 8000 hours. Being the owner of an agency gave her invaluable practical experience in relating to executives. Her interest in the development of her people combined with her strategic capability enabled her to approach her coaching with an appreciation of the contradictions that lie within an individual or group operating in a corporate environment, and the importance of understanding that complexity.

It is her philosophy to support others in their quest for meaning and fulfilment in their working lives and to provide a space which enables the magical alignment between personal development and organisational effectiveness.

Adelle coaches C-Suite executives and teams across a multitude of industries including financial services, banking, mining, manufacturing, retail and technology, as well as SMME’s and entrepreneurs, globally. She runs the coaching panels for two large multinational organisations.
